Attachment & Exploration
You have likely heard of the concept of attachment. Attachment refers to the special bond between a child and his primary caregiver(s). When this relationship is characterized by a balance between connection and freedom to explore, then a child is more likely to have healthy developmental outcomes. These include: self-confidence, trust in others, enthusiasm for learning, and social-emotional skills.
The following graphic offers an introduction to the concepts of Circle of Security: Parenting, a workshop focused on developing a secure attachment with your child. You can also learn more by watching this video. If you are interested in joining this workshop, please contact us or submit a referral form.
